At Masonry were pleased to be involved in a £3 million, 14 month long refurbishment to the nave and entrance area at Sheffield Cathedral.
The overall project, completed in April 2014 involved new paving at the front of the Cathedral which was combined with DDA compliant access ramps to ensure a safe passage into the building for visitors.
The project presented a number of challenges including the production of the radius corduroy paving the issue was generating the raised pattern in line with the curve of the stone. This was overcome by the use of a CNC profiling machine. Stone Type: Stanton Moor Products: Paving, steps, ramps
